June 28th

Yesterday was one of those days that just, all around a good day.

The kids didn’t wake me up in the morning.

The baby slept through the night.

We bought a new camera (I LOVE my Sony a7iii but we wanted something smaller as well), and a new mic.

The kids ate their dinner without crying about it (my 4 year old even ate his peas??!).

We made a new video for our YouTube channel, where my husband and I talk about him leaving his job.

My kids are…for the most part…behaving themselves.

And my husband and I are splitting the duties when it comes to childcare and transportation instead of it laying all on my shoulders.

The day ended even better than I could have imagined, when we got some really good news.

And the icing on top of the cake? I’m a HUGE Yankees fan (I lived in New York for the first 2 decades of my life), and they pitched a perfect game last night. For like, the first time in my life that I have a memory of. So, it was something really special.

There is no plan for today, but I’m not worried about it.

I probably should be, life is happening quite quickly right now.

But I’m taking the day to allow myself to breathe.

I’m going to settle into this new, temporary routine. And just try to enjoy the moments of joy that come. Because as we all know, they can be fleeting.

June 28th.

A really, really good day.
